Front PTO works fine , but rear PTO engages when the switch is in "start" position. When the new PTO switch returns to "run" position the rear PTO stops.

Ran out of time to do more investigating. Is there a power feed wire from the back of the new PTO switch to the rear switch selector that that could be loosing power in run position?

Any other ideas where /what to check?

Do you have a wiring diagram for the 1772? The previous owner could have done some modifications or mistakes while doing repairs to the wiring harness.
