I think I would use a clevis pin with either a cotter pin or hair pin instead though. I don't like how the ball in the quick release pins tend to wear a groove in the parts it holds together sometimes. |
I actually made a couple pins out of 3/4" grade 8 bolts that I grinded some diameter off of. I put them through from the back side and cotter pin them on the outside. The only problem is they're a little snug so I have to have the holes lined up exactly which is tough with the weight of the blower. I'll have to get a decent set of dial calipers so I can accurately measure the hole. It looks like I have a couple options for pins. Thanks for the suggestions!
