As memory serves me I had the same issue with my 1572. Couldn't get any brake pedal. What I found on mine was the pivot arm that makes contact with the back of the brake pad was worn considerably. I had to run a small bead of weld on the arm and grind it back till I got the correct amount of travel. Pain in the arse but the end result turned out good. I was able to turn the adjustment rod back out where it was suppose to be.
