Today I pulled the shields off the Kohler m18 in the 1811 and replaced the starter and torqued the head bolts. tomorrow I will clean up all the old grassy oily buildup that sits inside and under those heat shields. It took a lot more time to get the shields off then to do the rest of the work. What a pita to get the bolts out on the bottom of the motor!
