I use the snowmobile to pull the driveway drag, (an old twin bed box spring would work great). I have a large parking area, circle drive, plus 1/4 mile to the road. This levels the snow and after a day passes we pack it down more with a vehicle (having kids that want to drive helps). After there is good compaction of the base layer of snow you can really fly with the QA-42A!
On my old QA I welded little 1" angle iron skids to the bottoms of the wear brackets. This helped but the best I've found is the above method.
