As Shotgun mentioned, part of it is our fault. Not mine but someones. When I was 13 years old I worked all summer long custom bailing hay for a guy, and when I wasn't doing that I was working on our farm. And that I didn't get paid for because I ate food and had clothing on my back...
When I was 15 I/ME had saved enough money that I/ME earned working to buy my first car, and all this was taught to me by my parents. If you want something go out and earn it...
Cold day in hell my old man was going to buy me something I didn't need. His father did it to him, and my father did it to me. Made us work. There isn't a kid in a five mile radius around here that will help out a neighbor for nothing, and they sure aren't going to do it for chump change...
Why should they? Mommy and daddy will buy them their $200-$400 telephone and pay for their monthly plan. Kids got it made, then go off to school and still have mommy and daddy paying their way. The wife's three out of four kids put themselves through school, and the other one went into the service to learn.
They aren't touched in the head like the ones you see on the street talking out their backside and don't have a clue because someone fed them with a silver spoon. That's what pisses me off, parents don't want to teach the kid so they give them everything to keep the kids out of their hair. New phones, Ipads, video games...
NO self worth. If they had to buy all this stuff themselves to keep up with their "friend" they'd have more pride in it... Just my rambling--- way off the subject, but I guess I was going off Sam's comments... Sad but true.
It was talked about not knowing the pledge of allegiance, it's because the teachers aren't teaching OR aren't allowed to teach the kids what's important here in the good ole USA. Makes me sick to my stomach.
Ramble done, I will be expecting my dis missile papers tomorrow.
