Well I wish I had an easy answer for you. I think you need to decide do you want a Super or do you want to repower a 682, then you need to decide how much $$$ you are prepared to spend. BTDT, I repowered a 1210 and came out with a nice machine that when it was all said and done I lost $$$ on when I sold it. A 682 at least to me is about the same as a 1210 except for the KT17 VS the Mag12. No hydraulic lift, nothing special. You need to sit back and run the $$$$ numbers before you go any further. Just my 2 cents.

Edit: I don't know what you paid for the 682 what condition the rest of the tractor is in or if it has sentimental value. Ask yourself if after you spend $1000.00 to repower it is it worth it. Why do I say $1000 for a repower? well by the time you buy a good used engine and all of the extra parts (only $100 for this and a $100 for that oh and I need a PTO , and I need a NLA muffler) yeah $1000 comes up fast, ask me how I know. Just being a realist.
