Just an opinion here, and you know what they say about them.
Since you have it from mother cub that synthetic 10-40 oil is ok,
just top it off now as you are just adding a small amount, and when you think it needs changing, go with your choice.
Not to disagree with anyone, just my thoughts,
Olds is correct on the oil being red/pink or brown,-- been hashed out here before.
possibly different suppliers to cub???
I would for sure stay with synthetic though as it is a better oil.
