So when I started on this spindle upgrade I wanted to give the tractor a wider stance and was hoping to get a tighter turning radius. So, I extended the weld on spindles out an extra inch one either side, and I added a bit more camber to them, just a couple of degrees. Don’t know what the turning radius started out as, don’t know where it is measured from, (inside of inside wheel, centerline of tractor…) but according to Tractor Data the 1650 has a turning radius of 6.6’. After I got the thrower off today I took it out back and after doing some donuts I measured 4’9” radius to inside of inside front wheel. Sure feels a lot tighter.
