Default 450 blower adjustments

So I got to try out the blower tonight on the 982 after getting DUMPED on today. I didn't get the measuring tape out, but we have at least 12" to 16" of on the ground depending on where you are and how much the wind got ahold of it. Overall, it worked decent. 982 ran well too. BUT....

Its not dropping all the way to the ground? I had new lift links arms made for it today so I have long enough ones. I made them 13" long with the single hole and slotted hole 1/2" from the ends. I also installed the carriage extension brackets to drop it down because its on a Super.

Its leaving about 2" of snow most of the time making it VERY difficult to get around, tractor is spinning a lot in the snow.

Any suggestions??

Reading the manual on page 14 it refers to the pivot link, have I got this hooked up wrong and that's not allowing it to drop down all the way?
