I really don't know what the yellow disc is. I didn't get that with mine. I did get a whole stack of plates though, which is way better than the Brinly planter I've got..... I think it had a carrot plate (whatever it is, it's a small seed) with it when I got it. I did find a source for the plates... but by the time I buy 2, I'd have more in it than I paid for this one. Thinking I'll get a corn plate for the Brinly and use this one for all the other seed.
I like it. I really think it may be a pretty rare find because I just can't find any info on it.
Both mine will have markers on them when I get them up and going.
