John, I think that is posted on here too. As seen in this tag from a 1863 that I owned there is a tag next to the serial tag. Others may correct me but the way you read it is.
A=January B=February and so on.
the next 2 numbers are the day of the month
the 4th digit is the year
5th is the factory....? I think
6th is the line it was built...? I think

So, I think this machine was built February, 18th 1994
