so jon i put a pic of my truck in the cub hauler thread it is 30 yrs old....its an 84 chevy k30 single rear wheel.. built and rebuilt: dana60 kingpin front, sm465 trans np205 tcase and 14boltff10.5" in the rear... even has hydroboost and its not a diesel...aluminum transfer cases work well in a diesel, as it is a different type of power...but in the truck pulling world, if you run a hopped up BB gasser it will blow that aluminum trans to pieces....diesel is a push... gas/alcohol is an explosion...my neighbor has won nationals in a modified truck called "foolish farmer"...and my good friend used to build the engines for them...and ive never driven a mack truck..ive bent a 7/8" clevis pulling trees out of my yard with mine...most trucks nowadays could not do that...its what you know....

but like you said opinions are like.... i dont care about bluetooth and power windows..i like to throw levers and get out to lock my hubs in, hell i dont even have any carpet in my truck..but i can carry 2.5 tons of 3/4 stone if i need to, or pull trees out of the ground or a big f'n trailer...rides like a hay wagon too..if i didnt want that though i would buy a CAR...just me
