The motor driven shifters have been known to give problems, like any electrical item, it don't like water/salt.
Nothing better than manual linkage.
But the later stuff is what it is,and anything can be fixed.
I wouldn't pass up a nice well cared for truck, just because it has push button
stuff, we are pretty much @ the mercy of what they build.
