Update:
I wire wheeled and prepped the oil pan for painting. I painted it with black VHT high heat engine enamel. It came out looking pretty good, still have to put it in the oven and bake it to fully cure. Double checked camshaft end play, its within spec. Still have to torque the bearing plate to final torque and double check the crank end play. After that I'm going to slip the piston in the block. Everything seems to be going smoothly so far.
