Make sure whoever changes the sparkplugs knows what they are doing... Those early 5.4's are very easy to break the plugs off in the head. If they have been changed at some point you will be ok... if not find a guy that knows how to get them out.. The later plugs were redesigned and are not as bad.

Other than that... the 5.4 is a real stump puller.. great engine
