I have a model 128 CC, built (roughly) in the 73-74 timeframe.

I guy visiting my neighbor told me that he and his dad did a lot of hot rodding/pulling with the CCs... he pointed to mine sitting in my yard and stated firmly that gears in the rear end of my 128 were exactly the same as what was in the rear-end "pumpkin" of a 1963-ish Plymouth Valiant you could (at one time) find in a junkyard.

Was this guy correct, or has my mind somehow mixed up some of the details as I advance (all too quickly) in years?

Update: I just checked my serial number, it was built in 1972.
