I am thinking of installing the kohler 18 out of that into the 1050, and am trying to think of all the parts I'd need to make the swap. so far I have:
Driveshaft different length
clutch linkage different length. (anyone know the measurements of an 1806 one?)
motor plate from the 1862 should bolt in
Might have to change a bit of wiring
anything I might be missing or not thinking of?

Olds makes a very good point...
But I have a question upon reading this again....
If the 1862 motor runs like a top, why would you take it out to put another engine in, then take that motor and put it into the 1050? Why go to all that trouble??? The Kohler in the 1050 is an easy rebuild, and you would still have another engine. Seems like a lot of work for no reason to me. If nothing else, why not put the VG in the 1050?
