I know the 1650 with 50" deck cuts the lawns around these parts with ease. And NO complaints on the quality of cut, and little to no clogging even in the dampest of grass around the pond.
Same goes for the 44" on the 782, same results. I personally like the shallow decks better than the high vacuum style decks. All we get out here is major clogging with the high vacs.
As for which one is better. Both "in my opinion" are good decks. One get's the job done faster.
But I
love the 60" Haban on the "1872" regardless of what others may say about them.
