It depends on a lot of factors, like how rare the item is (and by rare I mean that both ways: how hard it is to find in general and how hard it is to find in your particular area), the price of the item, and how bad you want it! Oh, another factor is if the seller gives you correct information on his/her location. Once I drove 6 hours there and 2.5 hours back because he and the item was in an entirely different town that was miles away from where he said it was and did not return my phone call for over an hour. Stupid soft cab wasn't worth it, even for his asking price of $35.
