That little wire helps to pull the needle away from the seat in the event the needle sticks in the seat.
A lot of carbs never had it.
If it should give you a problem sometime, a little tap with a screwdriver handle solves the problem.
I would not buy another kit for just the clip, unless it becomes problematic.
