Would you give any more for a 126 than a 125?
We talk about it here but I don't think rarity translates into dollars.
This is just my opinion here
Rarity does usually mean dollars.... maybe not to you, but it seems to translate that way. Would I pay more for a 126, or a yellow 982? Not likely. Would I ask more if I was the seller.... maybe for a 126, but that's just because they seems to be getting more rare. Pullers seem to have gobbled up a lot of them. Just for argumentative purposes, I don't think the SGT's are worth what most pay, or sell them for. In my mind, an SGT is a $1500 tractor. I don't care what the parts on it are worth, I don't care that it's cool, I don't care that they are hard to find, I don't care what they sold for new. The simple fact is 90% of the guys who buy an SGT with a rear PTO and 3pt just want it because it's cool and never put anything on them. You can go get a much larger tractor for just a little more than $2k. Most all the Cub Lo-Boys go for about the same price, and are much more usable than the SGT's as far as the 3pt is concerned, and you can get a 284 IH tractor for $2500 to $4500 depending on condition, and it's twice the size of a Lo-Boy. I've seen 656 gear drive row crops go for as low as $3K in good shape. So.... why would I pay $2500 for an overgrown lawn mower that they don't even make attachments for, and the ones out there are out of this world on price? Those little bush hog mowers that we see now and again sell for more than I can buy a 5' or even a 6' mower for...... Sorry for the rant, but I just think that the whole SGT tractors and their attachments are out of line on price. But, look at Deere. A 400 seldom ever goes for less than $2500 and most go between 3 and $4K. Again, no thank you.

Just my two bits that aren't worth
