At higher load, high uncut grass requiring full engine power, the engine acted like running out of fuel. I pulled the fuel tank and cleaned. Did not have much solids. However, tank valves were packed with junk. I am guessing fuel pump could not supply required delivery to the engine. Currently replacing all fuel hoses, fuel filter, grommets and cleaned angle valves/tank. We'll assess when reassembled after parts arrive.
Both of these tractors are at the age when the fuel system should be gone through from front to back. Pull the fender pan and tank. Clean the tank and shut off valves (2185 doesn't have shut offs) replace ALL of the fuel line and filter and clean the carb.
