I called quick way about this very same question. They told me there pretty much the same. Except for the rear axle mounts on the sub-frame. The **72 has the 6 sided axle tubes where as the **82 has round. My KW loader has been on a 782, 1872, and 1772. Fit on all of the with little modification. Never had it on a **82 series tho.
