If your rockshaft came with the hydraulic lift and has the correct bracket on it, then you should not have to do any cutting on your cub, other than your clutch shield, in order to get it hooked up and working. BTW: The manual says to cut your clutch shield in half, but I would recommend that you notch it out instead so it doesn't rattle and just looks better.
Cool to see my old thread revived and helping someone else out. To update the info in my old thread, I did contact one of our sponsors who sold me an electric lift rockshaft instead of a hydraulic lift one. I had to modify by spacing it 3/4" further out and it worked just fine.
