I might as well throw an answer into the mix.
It is a good thing that there is no real correct or incorrect answer to this question. It is only an opinion, and here is mine.
Personally, I like Quietline and larger 82 series tractors. The lines are clean, they are easy to work on, they are smooth and easy to handle and have enough power to do their assigned tasks without over-taxing the machine.
I also like the fact that they have an alternator and a separate starter, and not the wiring rat's nest of the previous series tractors. I always thought the starter-generator and the regulator that was necessary to make it work was an electrical nightmare. This is a downfall of Kohler in not going to a separate starter before they did. Everyone, IH, Deere, Allis-Chalmers, Wheelhorse, etc., that had Kohler engines had this problem. Good as they are, when Kohler went to a starter/stator/alternator, it was a great improvement.
This is just my opinion. I guess everyone is entitled to it.
