Let's see some pics of the dash. Most diesels vibrate the hood so much they usually destroy the dash over time.
Here is what my 882 looked like when I got it. No big deal, they are pretty easy to repair.

I now run a piece of Armaflex pipe insulation between the hood and the dash when I'm working them to keep the dash looking pretty.
