What does "both mule drives" mean?
Since IH never offered a tiller set-up for an Original, you will have to figure out the belt length for yourself. Unless of coarse someone here has done this before.
The closest guess you will probably find is 13/32" X 141-7/8" (The correct belt size for the Narrow Frame tractors with tillers). As an Original IS NOT a Narrow Frame tractor, this is most likely not the correct belt, but it's a place to start.
Do what the guys have told you, get it mounted and everything set up, then wrap a rope through the pulley system and measure the length of the rope. That will still probably not get you the exact length, but you'll be a step closer.
