Continuing to clean up and disassemble. Got the engine pulled and had the typical oily/grass stuff on the engine plate. Also discovered the hydro lines had been damaged at some point.

With the engine out, was able to better access the starter. So will disassemble, clean and reinstall. Flywheel on the engine turns nicely. Still can't hear anything clinking around in there or anything giving me the impression something's wrong. So am planning to reassemble tractor to a point in order to attempt a start. We'll see.

Hydro unit looks like it's never seen a hose. Question: Can I use a pressure washer on the hydro unit without fear of water getting into the relief valves?
