Yeah Jay. The loader, scraper, dozer, grader and blue dump truck. The loader and scraper were repainted years ago.
My father mainly operated a earthmover (scraper) and dozer, so of course so did I as a youngster.

I had the biggest "sandbox" when I was young. The pit behind the house. We had gravel, sand and topsoil to play in. We (friends and myself) would use the earthmoving toys in all three, and farmed in the topsoil, cause the plows and discs worked better in that type of ground.
My friends from school that were city folks would come over to play on a Saturday, and they had no clue how these machines were supposed to work, so I was the foreman on the jobsite.

I remember having the Tonka dragline and smaller dozer, but one was run over by one of the guys hauling with a dump truck, and the other was ran over by another guy with the loader. Wasn't much left... But I was always told to "pick up your toys at the end of the day".

This is bringing back a lot of good memories. Remember when we had to use our imagination back then?
I remember when the "wish book" came out I'd wear the pages out before Christmas looking through it. Would get a machine from Santa, grandpa and grandma, and clothes.

Once and awhile dad would let me get a piece of farm equipment when we went to the IH dealer for parts for the farm machines, but those are all about gone.

Sorry guys, was living in the past for a moment... Hey, let's turn this thread into a "Toys from your youth"??? So far it seems you (Jay) and John have some you can add.
