I am coating the fenders and hood on a customers tractor now. Its actually pretty easy on his to hammer the dents out as you can get to the backs. The rear fenders turned out great shot a yellow on them that is close to stock color, then shot clear powder over it for extra protection. I have buffed powder coat out for really picky customers but end up charging them more for it.
the oven is 6'x6'x8' and runs off propane.


i dont have a problem doing a whole tractor in powder coat if there willing to pay for all the time it would take to do the bodywork if they wanted it perfect, for my own tractors i will probably stick to paint. iv'e been doing paint and body work professionally for about 20yrs and old habits die hard, the next tractor i do i plan to do everything but the sheet metal an rearend in powder coat but it will be a custom job.
