I think all the 70/100 tractors had the serial number stamped into the transaxle casting... there was no actual tag until the next series... but it was just a serial.. like others have said doubt there is any way to tell.. I do know that the 70's were built with rear axle bushings at the rear hubs... the 100's had bearings.. but I think you would have to pull an axle to see that...
