Well.... that won't fit your 1440 because the 1440 has an aluminum rear end, and the sleeve hitch lower bracket is made to fit a cast iron rear end.

You have two choices:
1.) Order a bracket made for an aluminum rear end from xtreme Make sure to buy the one with "ears" on it that attach to the axle.
2.) Drill holes in the one you have and make it bolt on. Now, that said, unless you weld some on, it won't have any ears on it to attach to the axle. Aluminum won't hold up to the stress well without the extra ears, you may pull the threads out of the holes without them, in which case you will have to either heli-coil the threads or replace the rear end depending on how bad it breaks..... and then you will be back where you started.

Choice is yours. Pony up, or fabricate.
