Well, I got the first round of mechanical repairs finished this week.

Readjusted the timing, re-set the carb, re-torqued the head. Put it all back together and got to mow the property with it.

It did really well. I can tell the Kohler is worn, it isn't as quiet as it should be, things are definitely a little loose internally, but all in all it did really well. Has plenty of power. The 44a deck even produced a nice cut, and my mule drive shaft repair held up well too. Steering is tight, and hydro speed control acts like it should. Engine vibration has been drastically decreased.

It's definitely not as quick to mow with as my 3000 Series, but that's not the point. I want more seat time, not less.
