looking at your picture if my eyes aren't playing tricks on me since I have been up since 4am...your hinge is mounted on the inside of the headlight panel. I looked again at mine last evening and it is between the panel and the nose casting. As Yosemite Sam said there is a notch in the casting for the hinge. The PO of this 108 replaced the hinge at some point and it wasn't drilled right so when I put it back together I wasn't sure which was the correct way...the way mine is mounted now with a different hinge you can see the top part of the hinge when looking at the front of the tractor. I will have to trim it off some.
