According to Tesla's estimator, it will be $4.62 to charge after 115 miles. That's based on .12 per kilowatt hour. I'm pretty sure VW will re-release their TDI after everything settles down. They are probably just redesigning everything.
I read an article that the Chevy Equinox will be coming out with the same diesel engine the Cruze will have, if you're interested in something with more room in it. It'll be a 1.6L diesel...I misspoke earlier when I said 1.8L.
