thanks, they did a nice job rigging the engine when they lifted it off the trailer today with a 8000 lb lift forktruck. Paul set it down and put the forks under the original skids to bring it in the building.




Once we set it in place, I removed the head ( I knew it needed a head gasket ) and then oiled and greased it up. I pulled the connecting rod cap to make sure the babbitt bearings were in good shape. The bore looks great and everything moves easily.



I pulled the water jacket to clean that. I used water to remove the bird droppings and the 111 year old paint still looks great. Here's where it sits at the back wall of the Willock Building at Rough and Tumble.
