Default My 782

New to the site here. I live in shermans dale pa. Bought my 782 around 1993 before I even built my house. Put a shed on the property and that's where it has lived since. I put this poor tractor through hell over the last 20 years. My "yard" is 3 acres and takes 5 hours to get done if I do everywhere you can cut. More trees than I can count, rocks, stumps., roots etc. You have to know when to raise the deck to avoid such things. I always said mowing my grass isn't just a job its an adventure. It was used many times more like a brush hog than a Mower. It developed more issues than I could afford to fix a couple years ago and I acquired an 1863 of my uncle's after he passed away. Now I am in better shape financially and decided to fix up the old girl. Took it to my Mower Guy and he did a great job getting it back in shape. Repainted the deck, made new idler arm for it since you can't buy a new one anymore, made a new whatever it's called that you push in on the front to take tension off the mule belt. The one he made is better than the stock one. New pulleys, seat cover, buffed the paint some to get out some of the multi floral rose scratches ALL over it. Its a series l engine 44 inch deck smokes some when first started but fires right up. I'm only going to use it if my 1863 is down. She paid her dues and deserves to be semi retired. What a great old tractor. Going to try and attach a couple pics but not sure if I can figure it out.
