They are fun. Neat to watch all the "internal" stuff that you never get to see on conventional engines. I've got a 1905 2hp IHC vertical, 1914 4hp IHC Famous screen cooled (throttle and governor), 20's 1.5 hp Deere that crapped the timing gears 20 years ago and I never have bothered to fix, and a dishpan flywheel Lauson (I think 1.5 hp and pretty certain its Hit and Miss--been waiting to restore for the last 10 years). If I can find any pics I'll post them.
If you want to stay with IH, search for Famous, Tom Thumb, and type M. There was a guy named Larry Trammel in Chapel Hill that horse traded in them for years, don't know if he still does. He dealt with runners only--great for folks just beginning in the hobby.
Tractors are more my thing. I got this one running and then life just kind of got in the way of the time needed to finish it. It's not much different than a 2cylinder throttle and governor flywheel engine.
