Oh man I had a hoot doing the Original thread. And yes, I asked a great plenty of questions, and for the most part there was some good advice.
I'm not one to sugar coat something when asked, "how do you think this looks?" If it looks like shit, I'll tell yeah, but it seems most will say something like. WOW, looks good, keep up the good work. Well for the love of Pete, how is anyone going to learn from being praised for doing a crappy job?
Call it what it is. I got some negative pm's while doing the "O" and it made me a better person for knowing it was wrong. I learned from it, and won't be making those same mistakes again anytime soon...
Just came to me. What the heck are we writing about anyway? Oh, I think I'm on the right track again...
And when some member starts a thread with, Another ??? Restoration, it makes me want to pull my hair out. Seems very few know what a restoration is, and the amount of time and money and research it takes to do it correctly. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. And no one calls them on it.
Again, how is anyone to know what their doing is incorrect if someone doesn't say anything? My fingers are getting sore. I'm done for the night.
Bottom line, we have the best damn forum on te interweb, and I see it can even become better. To the young and up and comers, you have to learn to crawl before you can walk.
Listen to the one's that have been there, done that. If you think you have it all figured out, your a better man than I.

I still don't know what we're writing about, but I'm done.
