Just off your picture past the upper left picture corner is a catch to lock the blade in position not allowing the blade to move against spring tension. When plowing snow, this catch is to be open so the blade can move. If the blade hits something on the lower edge, the top of the blade will flex forward reducing the shock on the blade mounting. Go easy until you have confidence how to use the blade.
On your next picture, the catch is locking the blade. Not recommended. Lift the catch and turn.
