I am kind of confused if you want these on a riding cub 1211 or a cub snowblower 268. If it is for your 268, then you really don't need chains since the rear tires have enough weight on them already. I have had my 268 for many years with snow over the top of the auger housing and never had any issues. For your 1211, if you have always used the V-bar and had success, then continue using them unless you just want change, but for a higher price! Never change a winning strategy.
