I've had this gsg 1911 .22 for about 7yrs, the black finish that came on it wasn't much better than spray paint so it didn't last long. I've always wanted to send it out and have it coated in desert tan but the cost was prohibitive considering how cheap these guns are, about two weeks ago I powder coated some parts for a customer in desert tan and that's when the light bulb came on.
