Thought I would update this old thread. After months of looking and reading, I finally settled on the Chevy Cruise. At 24k, there was nothing that compared to it. They really pushed the Volt on me,, but as I told them, it hasn't been tested long enough for me. There's no guaranteed battery life as it is a new concept car. The Cruise has a diesel engine, and that was what I was looking for.
