Order Oscar Will's book, 50 Years of Cub Cadet. It will go over all models and specs for 50 years.

As far as adding power steering to the 782, it's not a simple bolt on deal, but you may already know that. You will need parts from either a 1872, 2072 or equivalent, and maybe an 1864 (cyclops) or equivalent. Not a cheap switch over, but that is relevant. Probably cost you around $300 for the parts, plus whatever else you need.
