Super 2072 Update/Problems
Started ripping into the 2072 apart today BAD NEWS: Uncovered Major Problem is the Steering, which I am sooooo hoping you guys are gonna tell me isn't a Big Problem. Anyway, as I told you in previous Post, this tractor sat for 3 to 5 years OUTSIDE. Here's the scenario. When we went to pick it up, the steering was VERY HARD, as I expected, seeing it was Power Steering and not running. Now, the steering isn't turning at all. The Steering Wheel & Nut are NOT loose on the shaft. But turns in Both Directions with NO Movement at all to the wheels. Very slight noise from the shaft. Does Not sound Metallic or Broken????? What Did I Do Wrong????
Is this just because the Pump (tractor) isn't running or could I have Broken something by forcing the wheel so hard when loading it onto the trailer? As I said it was very hard to turn.
Before I pull the Gas tank off to look down inside there, I figured I better ask You guys for your Help. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
While I waiting, I'm going drain the gas, clean the carb, change the oil & plugs, and try to get her running to test the P.S and see if there is any difference.
Thanks Guys,
Dan O'
