Growing up on a farm in central Indiana it was Binders from the p/u's , Loadstars to Emmeryvilles ( yes I know they were built in CA. ) we lived 60 miles from FT Wayne ( we picked a few up at the factory ) , my Grandpa loved them , but for some reason his buying the IH p/u's ended in the early 70's and he went to GM .(I think the IH dealer ticked him off as we went to a different one ) but I still remember the one had the gas fill in the front fender ..
as for the rat rods ( I call them rat turds) , to me it says I want to be cool but do not have the money or the skills or know how to do it right as instead of shop classes I took the art of texting or fast and the furious movie review ..
.. around my house the state police pull them over and inspect them and seen many leave the scene on a flatbed and the driver with a handfull of violations waiting for his ride home .. lots of stupid dangerous stuff done or not done ..
