I'm gonna get killed here, but i gotta confess. First, you gotta know I kept the Cub parts.
The Ross steering box from a green tractor - 10 or 12 horse - forget now what the model no is - maybe a 210 or 212 - will fit with a little work. And they were not hard to find a few years ago. It gives you the 3 turns. It is a big help but not quite power steering. I found it a welcome improvement.
The shaft is longer than a 129 or a 123 but the screw fits right in the cub box. Watch the bearings - they are different and you must match the races but there is enough parts between the two to do the job.
The box from the green rig mounts different so I bent a couple of bars to modify the fit and use the larger box on one of my Cubs.
Remember - I kept the original Cub parts so they can be restored someday.
