When Harvester sold out to CCC, things changed as expected. Some parts became NLA but for the most part, still available but prices started escalating. Rapidly.

Still later, when CCC was consumed by MTD in the mid '90's, parts prices started climbing like crazy, many more became NLA.

At this point, in my opinion, the last of the good CC's were designed/built. Everything from that point on was throwaway junk.

I told my dealer and his people, "thanks for your service over the years but don't expect me to be buying any new CC models from you ever again."

MTD's handling of CC was a classic case of taking a well respected brand name and milking it for what they could get and then cheapening the product and quality to make even more until the whole shebang goes belly up.

Yep for this Kid the last of the good stuff was the Cyclops series. I have never liked the SCUT machines.
