It's his stuff and he should be able to do what he wants with it. I have seen many tractor salvage yards that have stacks of frames waiting for scrap, or other CC guys who have the cast grills and scrap them, because, hey, how often do you replace one !?
At least he has saved many of them; here for the future. Have you noticed how many GOOD tractors (all brands) are being sold/ junked because the new ZERO TURN mowers have replaced them.
Save what you can but don't let your passions get the better of you.
